Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago

St. James is a suburb of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. It is known as "the city that never sleeps" because of 24 hour activities there. The main road is the Western Main Road. It runs from Woodbrook to Cocorite. St James is also known for its diverse mixture of cultural activities.

Until 1992, the Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC), now a unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority, was located along Long Circular Road in St. James.[1]

The largest Pizza Hut in the world is located in Saint James on Tragarete Road [2].

People

St. James is the hometown of singer/songwriter/rapper Nicki Minaj.[3] She lived here until she was 5 years old with her Grandmother before she moved to New York City with her parents.

Kickboxer, mixed martial artist and arm wrestler Gary Goodridge was also born in the town.
